The latest data from Euro-Graph, the European association of graphic paper producers, showed a drop of almost 30% in total deliveries of graphic paper in February, with 1.2 million tonnes compared to 1.7 million in February 2022. European demand fell 27.7% over the month. Over the first two months of the year, European shipments of graphic papers decreased by a total of 27.6%, with 2.5 million tonnes compared to 3.5 million over the same period of the previous year. More specifically, deliveries in Europe fell by 29.8% and those outside Europe by 15.9%. European demand fell by 26.2%. The largest drop in European shipments was in the coated woodfree , with -41.8% recorded over the first two months, followed by uncoated mechanical, at -28.6%. This data reflects not only a situation of structural decline, but also the impact of economic conditions.
